Welcome to the new Parcel2Go blog. I’m really excited to be writing my first ever blog post, and although I struggled to pin down just one thing I wanted to talk about, I finally managed to get my head together and start blogging.
As you’ll no doubt learn over the coming weeks, I love eBay and spend a disproportionate amount of time buying and selling items – everything from my children’s toys and clothes to DVDs and jewellery. I will happily admit that I am addicted, and I find myself wrapping up things to ship out to buyers every week. I find packaging very therapeutic – sad but true!
Recently, our family has been trying as hard as possible to ‘go green’ and so you probably won’t be surprised to know that I send all my packages through Parcel2Go.
I feel happy knowing that their domestic and international courier services are as environmentally efficient as possible, and they are reducing their carbon footprint by ensuring their vehicles produce fewer emissions and are cheaper to run.
Phew! One less thing to feel guilty about.
I try to be eco-friendly where I can. Fortunately I find that when sending parcels it’s really easy to be green. For example, I wrap up some items in recycled cardboard. Cereal boxes are great for this, and they’re simple to collect and store. I seem to receive a lot of positive comments on eBay whenever a member receives their item wrapped in a Crunchy Nut box!
Keeping packaging from other sellers and reusing it also makes the whole process greener. And it helps you with not having to empty your bin so often! Just make sure your item is secure and well-wrapped, and then everyone’s happy!
Do you have any tips for being environmentally friendly when posting parcels?
